This greeting card was created for the 2019 GAERF (Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation) Student Design Competition. Knowing that most people would submit flat 2D cards, I challenged myself to create a 3D pop-up card. I decided on a space theme and came up with a poem to go with it.

Then I designed the graphics in Adobe Illustrator using my favorite cartoons as inspiration. I added special lines so the cardĀ could be cut out with a laser cutter and folded perfectly. Once my cut and fold lines were set, I took the cutouts and glued them together to finish my card.
